What is new on Kirkstall Online

25th June 2005Replaced the "back end" database which powers the front page and news items. The site now has an RSS feed and readers can "subscribe" using an RSS feed, such as Bloglines.
19th February 2004Changed the logos and banners and included new ones designed for Kirkstall Online by Paul.
30th December 2003Have added an automatic unsubscribe function and a page with Kirkstall Online privacy statement.
18th October 2003Have again updated the photographs page to include 2 more galleries of this year's festival. Also added galleries of Classical Fantasia and Kirkstall Middle School demolition. Added a "thumbnail" picture to represent the main galleries on each page.
19th July 2003The Photographs of Kirkstall page has been updated to include photographs from local photographer Paul.
15th July 2003Updated the photographs page to include photographs of this year's Kirkstall Festival. Also included some photographs Steve took of last year's festival. Also updated the contact us page to make it easier for me to deal with responses. The subscription box at the bottom of the front page has also been recoded so that you get a quicker confirmation of subscription to the update service.
10th May 2003The Photographs of Kirkstall page has been updated to include photographs from local photographer Kat.
9th May 2003Added a "donate" button on the front page in the hope that someone may spare us the odd fiver. Also updated some pages which were very out of date.
17th July 2002New links system added. The last one was taken down after being hacked!
13th July 2002Added photographs of Kirkstall Festival.
30th April 2002Added kirkstall.info to the Kirkstall Online site. So now you can access Kirkstall Online through www.kirkstall.info, www.kirkstall.com, www.kirkstall.org as well as www.kirkstall.org.uk
3rd May 2001Upgraded news system on front page to include photographs with articles.

5th November 2000The Perennial Plant Project website is now live. Click their name above to visit the website hosted on Kirkstall Online.
26th July 2000Many apologies that the site has been down Monday and Tuesday. This has been due to problems our web hosting company has experienced. We are very sorry that the site has not been available but this has been completely outside our control.
22nd July 2000Launched a new noticeboard to replace the one which was being hosted for us on the housinguk.org site.
11th July 2000Added new links page. You can add your own links but they do not appear on the site untill they are checked to ensure they are relevant.
8th July 2000 Photographs of Kirkstall Festival and Parade added to the site.
13th June 2000 Brand new Kirkstall Abbey site available now on Kirkstall Online. Includes interactive map and tour of the abbey, history of the abbey and Cistercian history sections. www.kirkstall.org.uk/abbey
19th May 2000 On the links page I have added a Kirkstall Online Banner for people to add to their websites. Demonstrated on my personal homepage (click on Kirkstall Online and scroll down).

5th May 2000 Included a "ticker" on the front page of the site - if it really annoys you, let me know.
22nd April 2000 Added page of information and links to buy books, pamphlets and maps about Kirkstall
21st April 2000 Added page of old postcards of Kirkstall Abbey.
20th April 2000 Added a box on the front page for email updates of what is happening on Kirkstall Online. We will only usually email at most every two weeks and usually monthly.
5th April 2000 If you ever have difficulty accessing the site at our normal address (www.kirkstall.org.uk), you can now access the site at www.kirkstall.com and www.kirkstall.org. The new addresses should make it easier for people to find the site.
28th March 2000 Updated the photographs page with some pictures around the Abbey in the spring sunshine.
