The Presbytery
Located here was the high alter, which disappeared shortly after the suppression of the abbey.

Local legend says that the men who dismantled and carted it away both met with a grisly end.

The alcoves set into the wall (the Sacristy) held the silverware and candles used in the mass.

Presbytery01
The ceiling of the presbytery is still in good repair and is typical of the original twelfth century barrel vaulting used by the early Cistercian builders.
